Kanchenjunga base camp trek is one of great wilderness treks in north-east part of Nepal bordering India. Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the third highest peak in the world, is highly glaciated and cradles 5 major glacial systems in Nepal and India. Dotted with spectacular valleys and magnificent Kanchenjunga glacier are the major highlights of Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek in Nepal. The trail to Kanchenjunga Base Camp goes through contrasting landscapes varying from subtropical lowlands to stunning glacial plateau at high altitude. The lowland showcases verdant vegetation along with unique cultural settlements. Once, the trek reaches at high altitude, it shares some of stunning mountain scenery in the world.  Limbu and Rai tribe are the major residency of the region.

The journey begins from tropical lowland which offers you stunning rhododendron forest and beautiful villages of east Nepal. The trail starts from 1,200m and climbs up to 5,180m above sea level. The trek meanders through Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, managed by local communities in association with WWF, which is sparsely populated area in Nepal. Endangered wildlife such as snow leopard, red panda, vulnerable Himalayan bear, clouded leopard and assumes macaque resides at pristine forest, alpine meadows and wetlands of this region. This is completely camping trek where one gets insight of various culture, tradition and incredible view of lofty mountains.

Day 03: Flight to Biratnagar Drive to Birtamode.

Day 04: Drive to Taplejung 1820m 8/9 hrs.

Day 05: Trek to Sinwa 980m

Day 06: Trek to Tapethok 1322m

Day 07: Trek to Sakathun 1660m

Day 08: Trek to Thyanyane 2405m

Day 09: Trek to Fhale 3140m
