Apart from traffic of classical Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake, Pikey Peak trail follows the less crowded route meandering through Jiri, Junbesi, Chaulakharka, Ngaur before reaching to Pikey Hill. It offers the streaking view of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu and multiple snow-clad mountains. Moreover, the peak offers the magical sunshine and set view. The name Pikey is derived from the Sherpa Clan Deity.

Pikey Peak Trek initiates after a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu, a small settlement in Khumbu region. It is also possible to conduct trek through Rumjatar and Jiri, the first gateway to Khumbu region. The trail traverses through different settlements of ethnic tribe, rhododendron forest and valleys. En route interacting with Sherpa and visiting quaint Thupten Chholing monastery are worthwhile. Pikey Peak trek is fully camping trek as there are no lodges and teahouse throughout the trail.
